I joined ICC as I love teaching English and I thought ICC is a caring place for both teachers and families.I did have fun when I stay with my students. What impresses me most is the show we had at the Exhibition Centre and the training from Kirby. Thanks a lot.
I have had the pleasure of seeing ICC grow from a“massy company”(something you told me about the company) to a developing, more and more mature training center . I believe that ICC will be successful in the future.
Here I will be honest to you with some issues that annoyed me during my time in ICC.
1.No systematic training for TAs,we were just thrown into the position and that may cause people feel miserable and disagrees.
2.No task-based teaching point for each course.
3.No professional teaching standards analysis on the language acquisition approach applied in the students reading, writing, listening and speaking.
4.People from different departments can work with each other in a better way,not just doing their own job.
5.Kinds of professional，targeting training for all staff is vital and urgent
6.People there don’t smile much.
7.As a TA,I would have always made parents felt comfortable leaving their children in ICC.I even made plans on what to do and how to do it,but all my energy goes to preparing and teaching in the class. As I mentioned previously, the 3 “NOS”takes me much more time to fit into everything.
8.Flexiblity. I don’t think teachers or TAs should be staying at the center when they have no class. Just because they’re not around ,does n’t mean they are not working.
9.Last but not least,I think internal activities like workshop or seminars between team members will help improve communications for better working results.
